dead body found in north bakersfield

Authorities are investigating the discovery of a dead body in the Kern riverbed. Bakersfield police made the discovery at around 9:45 a.m. Monday east of the Chester Avenue bridge where they found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. There’s no suspect information yet.
