New Tradition: 4th of July celebration leaves street for the park

A neighborhood tradition that began with a couple of kids riding decorated bikes for the 4th of July grew into a beloved celebration involving hundreds of people. Big enough that city officials required organizers to get a permit, and with it, all the associated costs. Now, neighbors are moving to a nearby park to bring back the intimate feeling of how it all began.
